I am a registered member of The Reiki Association, having acheived my First and Second degree training in Usui Reiki to become a Reiki Practitioner along with Advanced Colour Reiki training and Reiki Drum Healing.
I have over twenty years experience of working within the NHS as an Advanced Theatre Practitioner specialising in Anaesthetics and Recovery. A diploma in Crystal Healing as well as completing a Reflexology Practitioner course in 1998.
Following the birth of my beautiful daughter in 2005 I was diagnosed with post-natal depression. Along with medication, I looked to alternate holistic therapies to aid the management of my anxiety and depression. I’ve found comfort and serenity in Reiki, meditation, crystals and yoga over the years.
My grandfather Roy, was a ‘Faith Healer’ and had assisted me with various ailments as a child, he always said I had ‘the gift to heal’, I was always drawn to help family, friends and colleagues over the years whether it be a physical pain or emotional stresses. After a severe bout of depression and anxiety, a close friend recommended I try Reiki… I never looked back, that Sunday afternoon after my first Reiki session I felt a shift in energy and a calmness I’d not felt in a long time. The Reiki Practitioner, after treating me advised me to complete my training, saying, “I had the ability to do this” this resonated with my grandfathers words and the rest as they say is history.
What I love the most about Reiki is the calming effect it has upon me and its ability to work for the highest good (Reiki always seems to know where to go). It is peaceful, relaxing and for me it has been life changing. Reiki works on all levels, physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I take part in Reiki shares and am working towards becoming a Reiki Master. I feel privileged to have received my Reiki attunements, and take a lot of pride and satisfaction to be able to help others.
Love, light and blessings,
Toni
